This will be my last guest hosted show for my dear Brother Eric Jon Phelps on his weekly radio broadcast (Biblical Truth in History & Prophecy) due to financial reasons and the progression of my coming marriage (Lord willing). It has been almost one full year since I began on 6/7/2010 (not planned at all) with Brother EJP’s broadcast. I simply cannot manage to continue this weekly radio ministry with the depth of research time and info at full steam and expect to be the MAN God calls me to be in a marriage.

Personally I don’t feel it was my best presentation because I was cut off in the first half 3 times (the LORD rebuke you Satan) but nevertheless may God use it for His glory. I need to provide a testimony for Him out in the world where the battle is equally as heavy if not more. I will try to provide miscellaneous podcasts and vlogs whenever the Lord permits some extra time for this watchmen/prophetic ministry.

For now I ask all the brethren out there that appreciate this ministry to pray for me and my fiance that we may be reconciled, and continue into a fruitful marriage as the Lord wills, and that he may provide an avenue of income for provision while we have time to redeem.

As for my final MAJOR ministry film project (The Whore of Revelation) it’s coming Lord willing to expose the kingdom of Satan with the light of the word of God almighty! HALLELUJAH! Pray for me on that front as well.

Few doctrines are met with such heated opposition as is “the Gap Theory.” Credited for justifying the interjection of the Satanic, unscientific, Jesuit-devised, false doctrine of “evolution” into the inerrant Biblical record of creation, it is usually dismissed out of hand by many Bible-believing Christians.  (That topic, however, shall be addressed through another post.)  The belief that gaps of time exist between certain verses within specific scriptural contexts is regarded as a “heresy of the futurists,” yet another “doctrine of the Jesuits” to move true Protestants away from historicist eschatology championed by several of the blessed Reformers.  However, as your Editor shall prove below, via a literal reading of the Word of God, the AV1611 English Reformation Bible for English-speaking peoples, there are indeed gaps of time not only between verses, but also between very words within a single verse.

Again, we shall hold to our foremost biblical hermeneutic as taught to us by the Lord Jesus Christ: the literal reading of the Word of God from which supreme maxim we must never depart unless the text so mandates, as in the case of a parable of a vision.  Since the texts we shall review involve no such parables or visions, a strictly literal approach will be maintained.  In the end, it shall be obvious there are indeed gaps of time between Bible verses, and with this understanding, many passages will now be fully understood.  Ten examples shall be reviewed, they being:

I.  Zechariah 9:9-10

9  “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, they King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

10  “And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth.”

Again, in literally approaching our text, we discover the literal fulfillment of verse 9 in the gospel record.  This verse is literally fulfilled by the Lord Jesus Christ on the day he declared himself “Messiah the Prince” (Daniel 9:25) to national Israel, upon his entrance into his city of Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1-10).

However, verse 10 was not literally fulfilled immediately after Christ’s entrance into Jerusalem, for which reason Jesus of Nazareth wept upon approaching the condemned city.  He knew the peace Jerusalem could have experienced in his day, as per Zechariah 9:10, but now to be hid before their eyes (Luke 19:41-44).  Rather, he was murdered by Herod and Pilate (both acting on behalf of Tiberius Julius Caesar), the Romans, Jewish leaders and people of Israel (Acts 4:26-28; 7:52).  Clearly, Jesus the Christ is to have a universal earthly dominion (Luke 1:31-33), but not immediately after his national declaration of being the Messiah.  Therefore, in conclusion, as a result of a literal reading of these two verses, there is a gap of time between verse 9 and verse 10 of nearly 2000 years.  Your editor calls this specific prophetic time gap, “the great time warp” between “the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow” (I Peter 1:11).

II.  Isaiah 61:1-3

1  “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2  “To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3  “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”

Our wonderful Savior and living Word of God teaches there is, in fact, “the great time warp” in this text.  We marvel as we read Luke 4:16-21:

16  “And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up; and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

17  “And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.  And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,

18  “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19  “To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

20  “And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down.  And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.

21  “And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”

In reviewing Isaiah, we discover the Lord stopped in the midst of Isaiah 61:2.  All that he read was fulfilled on this epic day, the very beginning of his earthly ministry.  But why did Messiah stop reading, close the scroll and sit down?  Why did he not continue to at least finish verse 2?  Because his First Coming did not include “the day of vengeance of our God,” and the subsequent comforting of Israel described in verse 3.  The Lord’s stopping in the very middle of a sentence, declaring that all he had read was “fulfilled in your ears,” leads only to the conclusion that the following words would be literally fulfilled at a later time, after “the great time warp,” upon the literal Second Coming of Christ when he would fulfill the promised “day of vengeance” of verse 2, the same “day of vengeance” of Isaiah 63:4:

“For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.”

III.  Isaiah 9:6-7

6  “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

7  “Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with justice from henceforth even for ever.  The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

Upon the First Advent of the promised Messiah, Christ Jesus was born as a man-child in Nazareth fulfilling the first phrase of verse 6 (Luke 2:4-7).  This child is also Someone’s Son Who was given to the Nation by Another.  Indeed, Messiah is the only begotten Son of the Father as foretold in Psalm 2:7:

“I will declare the decree: the LORD hat said unto me, Thou are my Son; this day have I begotten thee.”

The Son given was none other then the Son of God as declared in John 3:16:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Understanding the child was born and the son was given at the First Coming of Messiah (“God manifest in the flesh”), yet he was never exalted to the titles so named within the remainder of the verse.  Further, he never sat upon the earthly throne of David, nor did he ever rule over an earthly kingdom forever as stated in verse 7.  Remember, if the first part of verse 6 has been literally fulfilled on earth, then the rest of the verse, along with verse 7, must be literally fulfilled on earth.  Therefore, once again, we have “the great time warp” between phrases within Isaiah 9:6.

IV.  Zechariah 6:12-13

12  “And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:

13  “Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne, and he shall be a priest upon his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”

Here again we have a literal fulfillment of a phrase within a verse, but the subsequent phrase, followed by another verse, is yet to be brought to pass.  In verse 12 we read the BRANCH—the Lord Jesus Christ—“shall grow up out of his place.” Clearly, this is a reference to his growing up into manhood from his place in Israel.  He grows up out of his place, in the same way he is described in Isaiah 53:2:

“For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, as a root out of dry ground: . . .”

But Messiah never fulfills the rest of the prophecy during His First Coming.  Indeed, Christ never builds the temple of the Lord (the Fourth Hebrew Temple as described in Ezekiel 40-43); He never sits in that temple upon his throne (the throne of David) as also described in Ezekiel 43:7, nor has he ever fulfilled both roles as king and priest on earth.  Therefore, once again, “the great time warp” stands between two phrases within verse 12, we again arriving at this conclusion due to a literal reading of the Prophets.

V.  Isaiah 53:10

“Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.”

The entirety of Isaiah 53:1-9 concerns the Righteous Servant of the LORD, Messiah at his First Coming to earth.  The text speaks not of the nation of Israel as our Orthodox friends would claim, for Israel cannot be stricken for his own transgressions (Isaiah 53:8); only Messiah could be that vicarious substitute, smitten for “the transgression of my people.” Thus, the First Coming of Christ to earth is described in verse 10 up to and including the phrase “when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin.” The following phrases in verse 10, as well as verses 11 and 12, have yet to be fulfilled.  As the previous verses were literally fulfilled on earth, so will the subsequent verses be literally fulfilled on earth.  When verses 10b, 11 and 12 come to pass, it will be a result of the Second Coming of Christ to earth, Christ beholding his spiritual seed (born-again Israel, since Jesus Christ has no physical posterity), the Father prolonging Christ’s days, while the pleasure of the Father will prosper in the very hand of Christ as he rules the world with a rod of iron in righteousness.  Finally, after nearly 2000 years, the will of the Father will be done on earth as it is in heaven in answer to the prayer Christ taught his disciples at the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:10).  Hence, once again, we behold “the great time warp” between two words within a singular verse of Scripture.

VI.  Luke 21:24-27

24  “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive unto all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

25  “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26  “Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27  “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”

What a brief synopsis of all the writings of the prophets regarding Israel’s Diaspora, great tribulation and Second Coming of Messiah!  Verse 24 was fulfilled in A.D. 70, 38 years after the First Coming of Messiah.  The “times of the Gentiles” are presently running its course, with Jerusalem submitted to Gentile rule, presently, the White Gentile Pope of Rome!  But verse 25 jumps to the signs in the heavens that precede the Second Coming of Messiah, the same signs foretold in Joel 2:30-31 and Isaiah 24:19-23. Verse 26 further describes this time of earthly horror, and verse 27 announces the Second Coming of the Son of Man according to Daniel 7:13.  Clearly our “great time warp” appears once again between verses 24 and 25!

As we now understand the presence of “the great time warp” between verses of Scripture, your Editor’s explanation of subsequent texts will be direct and to the point.

VII.  Daniel 2:40-41

Verse 40 describes the Roman Empire as it existed from 27 BC to AD 476.  The visible Roman Empire, symbolized by two iron legs, ceases to exist but later reappears in the form of feet and toes composed of iron and clay.  Verse 41 begins to describe the kingdom that arises from the fourth kingdom as having feet and toes that are partially iron and partially clay.  During the days of this kingdom, the Revived Roman Empire, Christ establishes his world rule on earth, symbolized as a stone cut out without human hands smashing the feet and toes of iron and clay.  Thus, we have once again our “great time warp” between verse 40 and verse 41 (continuing through verse 44).

VIII.  Daniel 7:7-8

In light of point VII, the same holds true for these verses, further explaining Daniel 2:40-41, the development of 41 continuing through 44.  Verse 7 describes the fourth beast symbolizing the Roman Empire.  When the ten horns are focused upon in verse 8 the prophecy is jumping into the future at the time of the Revived Roman Empire headed by the ten kings and the Man-beast.  During the days of this Revived Roman Empire, Christ returns to establish his millennial kingdom.  Thus, we have once again “our great time warp” between verse 7 and verse 8.

IX.  Micah 5:2-4

In verse 2 the birth of Messiah is foretold, that it would transpire in Bethlehem.  This was believed and understood in Christ’s day (Matthew 2:3-8).  In verse 3, the travail of Israel is foretold during “the time of Jacob’s trouble” (Jeremiah 30:7), this same travail being described in Isaiah 66:7-8.  In verse 4 we behold the reign of Messiah, “for he shall be great unto the ends of the earth.” Hence, we have once again “our great time warp” between verse 2 and verses 3 and 4.  Messiah is born in verse 2 and rules the world in verse 4.

Second Coming of Jesus the Messiah, King of kings and Lord of lords

X.  Psalm 2:3-4

Verses 1 to 3 declare the rebellion of the kings of the earth against the LORD and against his Messiah.  Their very thoughts are known and denounced, these kings devising to break all restraints of Jehovah.  These verses are cited by the Apostle Peter (Acts 4:25-28) as having been fulfilled at the First Coming of Messiah.  Verses 4 through 9 describe the Second Coming of Messiah, breaking the nations with his “rod of iron.” Thus, there appears once again our “great time warp” between verse 3 and verse 4.

In conclusion, “the great time warp” between Daniel 9:26 and verse 27, as addressed in a previous post, is not unique to Daniel’s prophecy.  We behold this occurrence throughout the writings of the prophets, especially with reference to the two separate Advents of Jesus the Messiah.

The epic Prophecy of the Seventy Weeks of Years as given to the Prophet Daniel by the Angel Gabriel (Daniel 9:24-27) has been a bone of contention between Historicists and Futurists for centuries.  That contention devolves upon one singular question: do we read the prophecy literally or do we not read it literally.  Indeed, to be literal or not to be literal, that is the question.

Now, the great hermeneutic of Bible-reading is to understand the passage before you in its literal, natural meaning.  This is how the Lord Jesus Christ—the incarnate Word of God—understood the Scriptures (the written Word of God); so should we.  Neither the student nor the scholar are ever permitted to redefine any word or phrase thereby departing from its historical, natural meaning unless addressing figurative language, such as a parable or a vision.  Yet, such figurative language is explained or defined in the immediate text or by a parallel passage in the Word of God further preventing the Bible-reader from inventing his own “private interpretation” of the word, phrase of passage under study.  In keeping to this rule of literal reading (for what is to keep in check the minds of men if all are permitted to redefine the very words of God!), we shall address this all-important prophecy.  As to its specific importance, the Angel Gabriel’s words compose a prophecy cited by the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 24:15); a prophecy partially fulfilled by Himself in his open declaration as “Messiah the Prince” (Matthew 21:1-9) in accordance with Zechariah 9:9; a prophecy serving as the key foundation for understanding the literal fulfillment of Revelation 6 through 19.

The two camps (to the exclusion of the Jesuitical Preterists) attempting to explain this Prophecy of the Seventy Weeks of Years are the futurist camp and the historicist camp.  The futurist camp is the oldest dating back to the First Century Church; the historicist camp is of recent development generally championed by the Protestant Reformers during the 16th Century.  This point does not validate either position as the “oldest and therefore the best” argument is used by Satan as the foundation for his design of overthrowing the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures translated into the series of English Bibles born out of the Protestant Reformation.  For, the “oldest and therefore the best” argument is employed by the Jesuits and their agents to seduce the Child of God away from the Scriptures of the Reformation into accepting “the oldest and therefore the best Greek manuscripts,” which manuscripts are pro-Jerome’s Latin Vulgate, thereby returning the “heretics” (“separated brethren” as of Vatican II) to the fold of Rome.  Rather, we are confined to the rule of the great hermeneutic when somberly addressing this keystone of Old Testament prophecies “given by inspiration of God,” preserved down to this day, and translated into our epic English Reformation Bible, the AV1611 in its present edition of 1769.

Now to specifics: the futurist position maintains the 70th Week of Daniel—the last seven-year period of the prophecy—is yet future, yet to culminate in the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.  The historicist position claims the last seven-year period of the prophecy has been fulfilled by Christ at his First Coming.  Futurists believe there is a gap of time between the 69th and 70th Week of Years, a gap of time that began the day after Christ declared himself “Messiah the Prince” on 10 Nisan (April 6), 32 AD, which gap of time continues to this day.  Historicists believe there is no gap of time between the 69th and 70th Weeks of Years, that the prophecy has been entirely fulfilled in its six specifics given in Daniel 9:24.

It is the position of your Editor that the historicist position is untenable for one most important reason: it denies the literal reading of the prophecy!  It violates our first great hermeneutic—the literal reading of the Word of God as taught to us by the living Word of God Himself, the Lord Jesus Christ!  Our first example illustrating the departure from our paramount rule of understanding the Scriptures is the date on which historicists assign the issuing the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem as foretold in Daniel 9:25:

“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.”

There is only one commandment given to restore and to build Jerusalem (not the commandment to rebuild the Temple as first decreed by Cyrus) subsequent to the giving of this prophecy.  That command is found in Nehemiah 2:1-6, and in no other place in the Old Testament.  That command was given on the first day of the Hebrew New Year, the first of Nisan, in the 20th year of the reign of Artaxerxes, King of Persia.  That date, as proven by Sir Robert Anderson in his epic work, The Coming Prince, was March 14, 445 BC.  But to simplify the matter for this discussion, the command to rebuild the city of Jerusalem—not the Temple—was given in 445 BC.  There is no other year any such commandment was issued according to the testimony of the Hebrew Scriptures.

On the other hand, historicists believe the commandment for the restoration of Jerusalem was given in 457 BC and cite Ezra 7:12-26.  In this lengthy decree of King Artaxerxes, given in the seventh year of his reign that began in 465 BC, only the building of “the house of God” is addressed.  See Ezra 7:16, 17, 19, 20, 23 and 24.  Ezra then praises God for this decree and concludes in verse 27:

“Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.”

No mention throughout the entire text is made of the building of the city of Jerusalem—None!  But the historicist, in his attempt to prove his preconceived notion that the prophet’s Seventy Weeks of Years—490 years—has been fulfilled, Suggests that there was a coordinate, implied command to rebuild the city.  (Satan’s doctrine of implied powers has not only destroyed the intent of the writers of the U.S. Constitution, but has also, in this instance, rendered the Word of God of none effect!)  The historicist has departed from the literal reading of the Scripture (even as the American Supreme Court has departed from the literal reading and intent of the Constitution!), especially when we have one singular, clear commandment to rebuild Jerusalem recorded in the second chapter of Nehemiah.  Without a solid date for the issuing of that all-important commandment to rebuild Jerusalem, our understanding of Daniel’s prophecy is incomprehendable! Such is the first and foremost dilemma the historicist must address, but only if he violates our first great hermeneutic—the literal reading of the Bible.  Sadly, this is exactly what the historicist has done: he has assigned a date for the rebuilding of Jerusalem that is premised upon a lie—his lie—that Ezra was given that commandment, not Nehemiah!

The second dilemma, nearly as significant as the first, in which the historicist is trapped is found in Daniel 9:27:

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

The historicist maintains that, according to English grammar, the “he” of verse 27 refers to “Messiah” and not “the prince that shall come” of verse 26 which reads:

“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”

In light of other coordinate Scriptures the “he” of verse 27 cannot refer to “Messiah,” the Hebrew/Jewish/Israelite seed of David.  Daniel goes on to further speak of this same “he” in Daniel 12:11-12:

“And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.  Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.”

How are we to understand this time when the abomination that maketh desolate is set up in the Hebrew Temple as foretold by Daniel in two specific places, Daniel 9:27 and 12:11?  How are we to comprehend this event that precedes national blessing to the Jew who survives the subsequent 1290 plus 45 days after this event?  The Lord Jesus Christ gives us His answer.  We read in Matthew 24:15, 21-22, 29-30;

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, whoso readeth, let him understand: . . .

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no nor ever shall be.  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. . . .

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”

According to Christ there is only one “abomination of desolation” spoken of by Daniel the Prophet.  Thus, this singular event, this “abomination of desolation” of Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 12:11, is the same event perpetrated by the same man, the “he” of Daniel 9:27 (who, by the way, is the same “he” of Daniel 11:45, the same “he” of Daniel 12:7).

Further, how can “he” of verse 27 refer to “Messiah” when Messiah has been “cut off,” killed?  There is no mention of the resurrection of Messiah in this text.  Thus, if the “he” of verse 27 is referring to the slain Messiah, how can the slain Messiah confirm a covenant for seven years?

Further, according to Christ, as He answers the question of his Jewish disciples as to the sign of his Second coming to earth and the end of the world (or rather “age” and not the physical destruction of the world), in the days of this singular “abomination of desolation” as foretold by Daniel:

1. There shall be great tribulation to the extent that there has never been such a time in the history of the world, and that if not shortened, no flesh—man, beast, bird or fowl— would survive (Matthew 24:21-22).

2. After that terrible tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, the moon shall not give her light, the stars shall fall from heaven and subsequently the Son of man comes back to earth in “the clouds of heaven” in great power and glory in fulfillment of Daniel 7:13-14, Christ referring to this very verse when put under oath by the High Priest (Matthew 26:64).

If we are to read the Bible literally and examine general recorded history, NONE of these events have occurred.  And it is during the days of these events that the “abomination of desolation” is set up as stated by Daniel the Prophet.

Further, since these two events listed above are yet future, the setting up of “the abomination of desolation” is also yet future, for it is in the days of this desolation of the future Holy Place–-the Third Hebrew Temple in Jerusalem (which, if Daniel 9:27 is to be literally fulfilled, must be erected since the Second Temple has been destroyed as per Daniel 9:26)—that the Lord Jesus Christ returns at His Second Coming in answer to the questions of His Jewish Apostles (Matthew 24:3)!

Therefore, the individual, the “he” of Daniel 9:27, that sets up “the abomination of desolation” in the Third Hebrew Temple, causing the temple sacrifices to cease, is yet to come.  This same man, the “he” who confirms an existing covenant for seven years, breaks this covenant, and sets up the “abomination of desolation” in the holy place.  In all the gospel records, did Jesus Christ confirm an existing covenant with many nations, including Israel, for seven years?  Did Christ then break that covenant, and then desolate the Hebrew Temple?  Would Christ even do such things, thereby becoming a covenant-breaker and another Antiochus Epiphanes IV who erected an image of himself in the Second Temple?  Did Jesus the Christ, who openly claimed via a public event to be the Messiah of Israel according to Zechariah 9:9, ever cause the temple sacrifices to cease?  They continued for another 38 years until Titus’ Roman Legions destroyed not only the Temple but the city of Jerusalem in 70 AD!  Clearly, Jesus the Messiah never confirmed an existing covenant with Israel and the nations for seven years, nor did He break that covenant, nor did he cause the Temple sacrifices to cease, nor did he erect an idol in the Hebrew Temple, this idol being the “abomination of desolation.”

Clearly, the “he” of Daniel 9:27 is not the “Messiah” of verse 26.  Rather, the “he” (in light of the verses given above) is referring to its nearest antecedent, “the prince that shall come,” within the same verse.  The people of this prince who destroyed the city of Jerusalem and its sanctuary (the Temple) were Roman legions.  Thus, this “prince that shall come” is Roman, whom your Editor declares to be the final Papal Roman Caesar—the Pope of Rome—who confirms this preexisting, international covenant for seven years in fulfillment of Daniel 9:27. As to this ongoing controversy as to which antecedent noun the pronoun “he” is referring to—the Hebrew “Messiah” or the Roman “prince that shall come”—, a noted theologian, Dr. H. C. Thiessen writes:

“If the sixty-nine weeks take us to the Cross of Christ [actually, Christ's declaration of his Messiah-ship on Palm Sunday---EJP], then the seventieth week must come after the Cross.  But here we note first of all that there is an interval between the sixty-ninth and the seventieth weeks.  Tregelles says:

‘At the cutting off of Messiah, the recognition ends; then comes the interval, and the time is again taken up for one week at the close’ (Remarks on the Book of Daniel, p. 10).

“During this interval ‘the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and even unto the end shall be war; desolations are determined’ (Dan. 9:26).

“This points definitely to the coming of the Romans under Titus and their destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, which occurred in A.D. 70.  Concerning the words, ‘the end thereof shall be with a flood, and even unto the end shall be war; desolations are determined,’ Ironside says:

‘These words briefly describe the history of Palestine from the coming of the Roman armies under Titus to the present time.  Jerusalem, and Palestine as a whole, have been trodden down of all nations, and shall be, “until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled”‘ (Lectures on the Book of Daniel, p. 167).

“Then we note that the city and the sanctuary shall be destroyed by the people of the prince that shall come, not by the prince himself.  As we have seen, these people are the Romans, who fulfilled this prophecy in A.D. 70.  The prince comes to the fore in v. 27.  The verse reads as follows:

‘And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate.’

“There is, however, considerable difference of opinion as to what is the antecedent of the pronoun ‘he.’ Most commentators think it is ‘the Anointed One,’ in the first part of v. 26; some, taking the pronoun as a neuter, ‘it,’ think it is the ‘week,’ as if the ‘week’ would confirm the covenant with the many.  But how, we would ask, can the reference be to Christ when we have just been introduced to the Roman prince? It seems necessary to make the pronoun refer to him [which conclusion sustains the established rule of English grammar, a pronoun referring to its nearest antecedent---EJP].

“Furthermore, when did Christ make a firm covenant with many Jews for one week; and how can it be said of Him that ‘in the midst of the week’ He caused ‘the sacrifices and oblations to cease,’ when the temple sacrifices continued for about forty years after Christ’s death on the Cross?  It would seem absurd to refer the pronoun to the ‘week.’  How can a ‘week’ make firm a covenant and then break it in the midst of itself?  It is more natural to refer the pronoun ‘he’ to the prince mentioned in the last part of v. 26, namely, the Roman prince; however not to Vespasian, Roman emperor from A.D. 69-79, nor to his son and successor, Titus, who ruled from A.D. 79-81.  Neither of these made and broke such a covenant with the Jews; and Titus lived only two years after his accession to the throne.  The reference is to a Roman prince who shall come after the long interval of the last half of verse 26, which has already lasted 1,900 years; and the last week is still future.  Tregelles takes the pronoun ‘he’ of v. 27 to refer to the ‘prince that shall come’ of v. 26, and says:

‘The prince who shall come is the last head of the Roman power, the person concerning whom Daniel had received so much previous instruction’ (op. cit., 105).—Bibliotheca Sacra, 1935, XCII, 48-50* [Emphasis added]

In conclusion, the pronoun “he” of Daniel 9:27 is none other than “the prince that shall come” of verse 26. This coming prince, during whose reign the Lord Jesus Christ will physically return to Jerusalem, is Roman.  For his Roman legions (though composed of foreigners, specifically the 10th Legion) destroyed both Jerusalem and the Second Temple in A.D. 70.  This coming Roman prince will be as much of a Roman Caesar as were his predecessors.  And since the title of “Pontifex Maximus”–that name of blasphemy—was transferred from Roman Emperor Gratian to Bishop of Rome Damasus I, EVERY POPE OF ROME has been a Roman Emperor, a Roman Caesar, the King of Rome and foremost Prince of the Roman Papacy ruling an international, geopolitical empire since no later than A.D. 606.

Therefore, according to this wonderful prophecy, there is a coming Roman Papal Caesar who will be the last and final Pope of Rome.  He will confirm a preexisting, international covenant that will bring a temporary peace to Israel.  This peace will protect the Third Hebrew temple and its priests, they offering sacrifices and oblations according to the law of Moses.  This final King of Rome will be slain and rise from the dead to be the Man-Beast of Revelation 13:1-10, 18.  Upon rising from the dead, the risen Pope, possessed by Satan to be the Antichrist/Man-Beast, will go to Jerusalem, break the covenant he previously confirmed, and there demand to be worshipped as God, his Jewish False Prophet erecting an image of the risen, Roman Man-Beast inside the Hebrew Temple.  At this time he ends all Hebrew worship and service at the Third Hebrew Temple, the erecting of the image of himself being “the abomination of desolation” as warned by the Lord Jesus Christ, He referring to the same abomination of desolation as spoken of by Daniel the Prophet.  At this time, mid-week of the seven-year period, the risen Roman Pope turned Satan-possessed, Antichrist/ Man-Beast will rule the world for 42 literal months.  Indeed, the “he” of Daniel 9:27 is “the prince that shall come,” the final Roman Papal Caesar turned Antichrist/Man-Beast, to be cast alive into the Lake of Fire by the risen and returning Lord Jesus Christ at his glorious Second Coming (Revelation 19:20)!

Consider that Judeo-Christianity is still very new – a little around 2,000 years so to answer “who” created “lucifer” I would have to ask you to look towards the Greek, Mesopotamian, Ugarit and later Roman symbolism in addition to the Egyptian and Ptolemaic period associations based on attributions. The Christian or “Yeshua” concepts are tyranical, simple minded and really for the Jewish people only. If you are a jew from Israel, then I can understand your appreciation for Yeshua. If you are not Jewish then you must understand the Old Testament.

The damnable pagan Feast of the Winter Solstice—renamed “Christmas”—was once a forbidden holiday in formerly White Protestant/Puritan-Calvinist New England.  Thanks to the Jesuit Order having “made America Dominantly Roman Catholic” via massive Irish Roman Catholic immigration primarily into the North, it was declared to be a federal holiday in 1870.  And no wonder, for the Jesuits had created their “Holy Roman” 14th Amendment, Corporate-Fascist, Socialist-Communist, American Empire on July 28, 1868.  The wicked Episcopalian U.S. president who backed the Congressional declaration of the new federal holiday was the drunken murderer and destroyer of White Protestant Southern Culture, President Ulysses S. Grant (below).  In obedience to his Jesuit masters at Georgetown University, Grant would back the legal incorporation of the city of Washington, D.C., on February 21, 1871 making the city “Rome on the Potomac.”  The limited, Calvinist Republic of these United States of America was murdered and replaced with an unlimited, Jesuit Empire composed of de facto provinces subject to the rule of an absolutist, central city overseen by the Jesuits of Georgetown University (Seal above).

Article: Christmas is Spiritual Adultery By Let God Be True, But Every Man A Liar

“These be thy gods, O Israel …

To morrow is a feast to the LORD.”

Exodus 32:4-5

“Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.”

Jeremiah 3:6

For a Christian to have a Christmas tree and engage in Christmas customs around December 25 is the same betrayal as a woman making love to her husband while thinking about another past lover, or with treasured intimate mementos of his in her dresser, or using sexual techniques she learned from him. If you think this is extreme or harsh, read Ezekiel 16 and/or 23 carefully.

1. Adultery is horrible. When a woman gives her body and love to another man for intimate sexual pleasures, she terribly betrays her husband. He is defrauded by having his most personal and prized object treacherously shared with a competitor. Adultery is outrageously wicked (Lev 20:10; Num 5:11-31; Job 31:9-12; Pr 6:32-35).

2. Jealousy is the result. It is the anger, envy, and pain when something dear to you is given to another. It occurs intensely in a husband, when his wife gives her body and love to others. Adultery causes great jealousy, as Scripture and nature show (Num 5:11-31; Prov 6:32-35).

3. God is Jealous. He created and saved His people from serving the devil to be His very own bride. He expects total adoration and perfect obedience. The first and great commandment is to love Him with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. He will not share your love or interest with other things. His name is Jealous, and He burns in jealous rage when His people even flirt with anything else (Ex 20:3-5; 34:14; Deut 4:24; 6:15; 29:20; 32:16; Josh 24:19; Is 42:8; 48:11; I Cor 10:22).

4. God hates idols and icons. God condemned all idols, any graven image or likeness of any thing, and any devotion given to them, because He is jealous of any flirting or distraction by His chosen bride with the false gods of paganism. Their gods are bugs, trees, stones, and stars. He is the invisible Spirit of eternity. He does not want any other object getting even indirect attention. He even hated Moses’ brass serpent (Ex 20:3-5; Deut 4:15-26; 5:8; II Kgs 18:3-4; Is 40:25).

5. False religion is spiritual adultery. The Old Testament condemned association with false religion as spiritual adultery with false gods in the most graphic terms. Due to the ignorance of most Christians, they are unaware of these awful charges and descriptions in the word of God (Ex 34:10-17; Lev 17:1-9; 20:1-8; Num 14:33; 15:37-41; Deut 31:14-21; Judges 2:17; 8:27,33; II Kings 9:22; I Chron 5:25; II Chron 21:12-15; Psalm 73:25-28; 106:34-43; Jer 3:1-5,9; 13:25-27; Ezek 6:8-10; 16:15-38; 20:28-32; 23:1-49; 43:7-10; Hosea 1:1-3; 2:1-5; 4:12-19; 5:1-7; 6:4-11; 9:1; Nah 3:1-7).

6. Props to worship God are condemned. The Lord knew His people would be intrigued by the customs of pagan religion, including the use of green trees. So He condemned any flirting with false gods by His people using their customs in worshipping Him. Their intentions or motives toward Him did not matter! He was extremely jealous of their use of traditions and/or objects from His competitors while professing to love Him only (Ex 32:1-6,26-29; Deut 12:1-4; 12:29-32).

7. Christians cannot flirt with the world. The blessed God plainly condemns friendship with this world as spiritual adultery. If you love the world, then you have betrayed and cheated on the Lord. He hates everything the world loves, and He demands His people to come out from them and not even touch their things, including Christmas, which is the world’s favorite religious and commercial festival (II Cor 6:14-17; Luke 16:15; James 4:4; I John 2:15-17; Rev 18:4).

8. True saints are chaste virgins. Paul’s ministerial work, based in godly jealousy and fear, was to present churches and saints as chaste virgins to Christ, pure from fornication with another Jesus, spirit, or gospel. There is another Jesus presented by Satan, but loyal saints will have nothing to do with this pretending seducer. Neither will they be moved by the Christmas spirit that infects so many during the final weeks of the year (II Cor 11:1-4; Eph 5:27; Col 1:28; I John 4:1-6).

9. Compromise is adultery against Christ. We are living in the perilous times of the last days, when an effeminate and compromising brand of Christianity threatens the true saints and churches of Jesus. Most so-called Christians today love the world and pleasure more than holy living and doctrinal preaching. They have no heart for earnestly contending for the faith once delivered to the saints. They prefer fables of Santa and Christmas dramas at church rather than hard preaching of God’s inspired Scriptures. They have turned from the Lover of their soul to entertaining seducers (II Tim 3:1 – 4:5; Jude 1:3).

10. Roman Catholicism is the Great Whore. The Bible describes the church of Rome as a garishly dressed harlot with a chalice full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication, because she adopted many pagan customs to seduce her followers into spiritual adultery. This has been the near universal understanding of God’s true saints for 2000 years. But she is not alone, for the churches of the Protestant Reformation are her harlot daughters by retaining many of her sacramental and liturgical corruptions (Dan 7:1-28; II Thess 2:3-12; I Tim 4:1-3; Rev 13:1-18; 17:1-18; 18:1-24; 19:1-4).

11. Christmas is Catholic. For Bible believers, the name of the winter feast is enough – Christ’s Mass. The mass is a Catholic blasphemy in which they pretend to turn a cracker into God on their altars. They bow, worship, and talk to their cracker before eating it. Then they lock the leftover God in a little house made to keep Him safe. The Lord Jesus Christ died once for His elect, and He has never been on the altar of any Catholic Church. He is coming soon to vaporize it with the breath of His mouth (II Thes 2:3-12; I Tim 2:5; Heb 10:10-14).

12. Christmas is pagan idolatry. Superstitious pagans soon invented the worship of agriculture and the sun, for they realized their lives depended on both. Winter celebrations developed long before Jesus to celebrate harvest and the Invincible Sun. It was common to use evergreen branches, wreaths, and trees in their winter festivals. The Bible condemns green trees, even if they are used to worship God and celebrate the birth of Jesus (Deut 12:1-4; Jer 2:20; 3:6,13; 10:1-16).

13. Christmas is spiritual adultery. Taking an evergreen tree, putting it in your house, decorating it with twinkling lights, sitting in the dark, and adoring it to the tunes of Christmas carols is spiritual adultery. You are professing to love Jesus Christ, but you are doing so with the mementos and techniques brought from other lovers – the world and pagan religion. You are not content with Jesus Christ and His pure gospel found in the New Testament – for there is no Christmas there. You have added seductions of the world to keep you happy in your marriage. Jesus Christ is offended at your whorish ways.

14. Only total rejection will work. God is jealous. He will not let you flirt with His competitors. He will not let you keep mementos from past lovers, like an evergreen tree. He will not let you remember the important dates of past intimacy with paganism, like December 25. He will not let you use a blasphemous combination of His name, like Christ’s Mass. He demands that you separate totally from your past lovers, the world, and false religion (Rom 12:1-2; 16:17-18; II Cor 6:14-17; II Thess 3:6; I Tim 6:3-5; II Tim 3:1-5; Titus 3:10-11; Rev 18:4).

15. There are many Scriptures to help. The Bible clearly condemns observing Christmas and other holy days of Rome’s whitewashed paganism. We are Bible Christians, and our religion is based squarely on the word of God without any regard for human tradition, popular opinion, warm and fuzzy feelings, or the countless compromises and inventions of contemporary Christianity.

Our Created Solar System is a concise examination of the solar system and all its traditionally identified planets (including Pluto, which lately has been declared not to be a planet after all), and a review of certain information that will no doubt surprise most viewers. Throughout this presentation, Spike Psarris leads his viewers to the inevitable conclusion that the solar system must have been created, and cannot have come into being by any of the mechanisms that evolutionary astronomers have proposed.

Psarris has tailored his presentation to a non-technical audience. The facts he presents include many that most people learned in elementary school (or “lower school” and early “middle school”) in the 1960′s and 1970′s.

The surprises come from facts that most people do not learn. These include a discussion of the favorite theories of the creation of the solar system (and also of the Earth-Moon system), and how these theories required a modification bordering on the fanciful to attempt to explain certain inconvenient observations. Especially welcome are his revelations of the findings of Project Apollo and the further research that this series of crewed explorations of the Moon made possible.

But Project Apollo is not the only project whose findings Psarris discusses. Project Voyager also figures prominently, since virtually all that we now know about three of the gas-giant planets we derive from the data from the two deep-space missions of that project.

The only weakness in this presentation is that it offers no explanation for the origin or formation of comets, asteroids, or meteoroids. He does make great sport of the repeated invocations of collisions with asteroids to explain certain features of most of the planets that evolutionary astronomy cannot explain. But these small objects, representing as they do a degree of randomness that would seem out-of-place in a “very good” solar system, beg explanation.

Nevertheless, all things considered, this video is a valuable introduction to the solar system, for those wanting a non-technical survey of what we know about the planets–and about what evolutionists think they know, but do not.

The struggle to translate the Bible into a language that everyone could understand was part of a challenge to the medieval Catholic Church, which conducted its rituals in Latin and invested huge authority in the Pope. Those who wanted to reform the church believed that each individual could relate directly to God, without the mediation of priests, but to do so they needed access to the scriptures.

Perhaps its most important legacy, though, is the Protestant notion put by Jefferson: ‘God hath created the mind free.’ This underpinned the separation of church and state, the constitutional guarantee of freedom of expression and the right to fight for freedom of choice, freedom of conscience and freedom of speech.

I recently saw this most excellent documentary and I must say I learned a lot.

It seems to be unbiased being that it even has an interview with the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams.

It is very interesting (and laughable) to hear Rowan’s stance on the sinister Sir Thomas Moore.
